More than 300 young adults from across Italy gathered from December 27-30 for the 33rd USC Youth Conference. The theme of the conference was Where there is the Spirit of the Lord, there is freedom. They heard inspirational presentations from an accomplished engineer, who has been a quadriplegic since birth; a recovering alcoholic who is a writer and father; a man who lost his son to drugs and fights to help others in that situation. They were moved by an original Broadway style musical, where the main character was the Holy Spirit. They met God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and adored Christ in the Eucharistic bread. They had fun; they prayed; they shared bread and words. 

United in the Blood of Christ, they were the Church!
