Dickson Simon Komba and Justin Boniface Mwanyelo were definitively incorporated as Missionaries of the Precious Blood, on 6th August 2019. The following day they were ordained deacons at Kisasa Parish in the Archdiocese of Dodoma.
The two events were attended by many C.PP.S Missionaries, Religious men and women including Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, C.PP.S Lay Associates and many faithful from the parishes where our Missionaries render pastoral services.
V. Rev. Vedasto Ngowi, C.PP.S, the Provincial Director of the Province of Tanzania, presided and preached the Mass in which the Incorporation took place. Fr. Vedasto expressed his gratitude to God for the gift of vocation of the two candidates and to the generosity of their parents in raising and allowing them to respond to God’s call unreservedly. He urged the congregation not only witness them as they make a covenant with God but to pray for them that they may be faithful to the Covenant.
Fr. Vedasto went on to encourage all to remain faithful who have made Covenants in religious life and marriage. As St. Gaspar Our Founder said, we can also say that, “Devotion to the Precious Blood is a weapon for our time” to help us to remain faithful to our Covenants.
The Diaconate Ordination was presided over by Bishop Beatus Kinyaiya, OFMCap, Archbishop of Dodoma. In his homily, he urged the deacons to bear in mind that by the nature of the Sacrament of Holy Orders, they are bridges to help people reach to God. As Prophet Isaiah understood that his vocation came from God (Is. 61:1-3), the deacons also have to be aware that their vocation is God’s call and their responsibility is to keep responding to the call despite the challenges they may encounter.
